Lefkada – Meganissi – Kefallonia – Ithaca – Kalamos – Lefkada

1 day

Start from the port of Lefkada through the channel south, heading for the Onassis island of Skorpios. Anchoring and swimming on the south side of Skorpios in beautiful deep blue waters. The island is privately owned and may not be entered. The island is privately owned and may not be entered. The somewhat arduous ascent is rewarded by a picturesque village atmosphere and a magnificent panoramic view of the islands in the north. At the end of Spartachori Bay you will find moorings and a good tavern.

2 day

The journey continues south, between Meganissi and Lefkas, west past Arkoudi on course for the picturesque Phiskardo on Kefallonia. Sailing at 4-5 bft. in the afternoon is announced. For a good anchorage, it is advisable to call in early. A rich selection of taverns and souvenir shops awaits you.

3 day

Heading 120° to Polis Bay on Ithaca. From here Odysseus sailed to Troy with his fleet. Swim, or go in search of Polis, the city of Odysseus on the hill above the bay in Stavros. Then further south through the Devil’s Channel to Euphemia on Kefallonia. From here, a shore excursion is worthwhile to visit Melissani Cave, an underground lake that is illuminated through a natural opening in the cave ceiling and lets its water gleam in turquoise to dark blue.

4 day

Heading east, it goes around the southern tip of Ithaca to Pera Pigadi Bay, where you can anchor on 4-10m sand and search for the Arethusa spring on the Koraka rock to rest like Odysseus once did at his Swineherd Eumaeus. After a refreshing swim it is time to head to Kioni to find a safe haven in atmospheric surroundings for the night.

5 day

We recommend a sailing excursion to the group of Dragoneras Islands off the coast of Astakos before heading north via Kastos and Kalamos Here the Porto Leone Bay is ideal for swimming and spending the night.

6 day

The penultimate day should be enjoyed leisurely, a little sailing and a lot of swimming, e.g. in one of the northern bays of Meganissi, from where you can sail on the

7 day

can head for the home port of Lefkas without stress, not without first making a swim stop at the western corner of the bay of Palairos before entering the Lefkas Canal.

1 week (variant 2) – approx. 219 nm

Lefkada – Antipaxos – Paxos – Parga – Corfu – Othoni – Lefkada

1 day

From Lefkas through the channel north. The pontoon bridge at the lighthouse is opened for passage every hour on the hour. Course Antipaxos, passing the cliffs of Daskalia west to anchor bay Sazakiniko on the west coast. Short bathing stay. Continue north to the natural port of Gajos on the east side of Paxos. The entrance from the south between the lighted piers is only 2m deep, so it is better to approach from the north.

2 day

From Gajos to Corfu to Marina Gouvia. By bus or taxi to Corfu Town (approx. 4 km) to stop off in one of the many old town taverns, or to drink a Helleniko coffee under the arcades at the top of the Esplanada.

3 day

Early start from Gouvia to the NE to the bay of Kouloura, opposite the Albanian mainland and further around the North Cape of Corfu with a course to the island of Errikousa. The bay to the south offers good shelter except for southerly winds (sirocco).

4 day

Continue to the islands of Othoni, Mathraki to Paleokastritsa on the NE corner of Corfu, a stretch of coast with beautiful bays.

5 day

On the way south there are many beautiful beaches, but no longer a harbor of refuge. Next destination is the fishing port of Lakka on the northern tip of Paxos.

6 day

Continue via Parga on the mainland coast to Preveza at the entrance to the Ambracian Gulf. There 31 B.C. the naval battle of Actium took place. The Roman general Octavian (later Emperor Augustus) had the city of Nicopolis built to commemorate his victory over Antonius and the Egyptian queen Cleopatra, the ruins of which are a sight north of Preveza.

7 day

With a course of 183° in a fresh wind in the afternoon from Preveza to Lefkas.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”2 weeks” tab_id=”1585324183568-8fd5a552-a38b”][vc_column_text]

3 weeks

For those lucky enough to be able to sail 3 weeks in the Ionian Sea, we propose 3 variants to choose from:

version 1

Combination of one and two week trip

version 2

Two week cruise + one week Gulf of Patras and Corinth visiting Delphi, the ancient sanctuary of Apollo, from Galaxidi port.

version 3

Peloponnese circumnavigation. With the usual NW wind, a counter-clockwise circumnavigation is recommended. The tranquility and beauty of the southern Peloponnese, especially the Mani area, make every sailor’s heart beat faster. But the journey through the Isthmus of Corinth is also a special experience.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_tabs][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row rt_row_background_width=”fullwidth” rt_row_content_width=”default” rt_row_style=”default-style” rt_row_height=”” rt_row_borders=”” rt_row_shadows=”” rt_column_gaps=”” rt_row_paddings=”true” rt_bg_effect=”classic” rt_transparent_bg=”” rt_bg_image_repeat=”repeat” rt_bg_size=”cover” rt_bg_position=”right top” rt_bg_attachment=”scroll” rt_bg_video_format=”self-hosted”][vc_column rt_col_paddings=”true” rt_wrp_col_paddings=”false” rt_column_shadow=”” rt_border_top=”” rt_border_bottom=”” rt_border_left=”” rt_border_right=”” rt_border_top_mobile=”” rt_border_bottom_mobile=”” rt_border_left_mobile=”” rt_border_right_mobile=”” rt_bg_image_repeat=”repeat” rt_bg_size=”auto auto” rt_bg_position=”right top” rt_bg_attachment=”scroll”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
